The City of Dublin has kicked off its new program, “Live Healthy Dublin: 10 Week Wellness Challenge.” One hundred two teams, featuring 487 individuals, registered for the program. “Live Healthy Dublin” is already helping to create a lifestyle of healthy habits, physical activity, improved nutrition, and weight loss for its participants. Teams are competing against one another in the categories of Physical Activity and Weight Loss, and the reports have been very positive!
The program kicked off during the City of Dublin’s “Shamrock 5K Fun Run and Walk” on Sunday, March 17, and it will conclude with a celebratory wrap-up event at the Dublin Farmers’ Market on Thursday, May 30.
Along the way, we’re also putting together educational sessions and fitness activities for the teams, but the teams themselves are creating their own activities to encourage one another through the 10-week period. The program also includes a terrific online resource center with training and nutrition software; a personalized online tracking page and journal; and a weekly newsletter featuring activity, nutrition, and recipe tips.
